In week 8, I added and reshot some shots and scenes because during the editing process, I found that some of the shots in my work were a bit blurred and unclear in their meaning, and some of the frames were raw in their articulation. I decided to reorganize and re-shoot my work to address these issues.
The main idea of the story is that the protagonist wakes up in an unfamiliar environment and is surrounded by whispers that lead him to touch the cube and escape. But instead, after touching the cube, he is forever in a loop, and cannot be freed until the next person touches the cube.
During the first production, the expressions and movements shown were not well coordinated as I was playing the main character in the piece. During the second shoot, I was more involved in the inner expressions of the characters than in the editing. By shooting in different camera positions and body movements, I can show the process from consciousness to the erosion of consciousness.
I also made changes to the eye effects section and re-shoot this section during the week. After this week’s presentation, Mr. Christos gave me some comments on this part of my work. In the second version, I made changes to the articulation and movement of the characters, and here is a video of the second version.
At the beginning of the final loop, I wanted to achieve the effect of the beginning and the end, where the main character opens his eyes again when he is eroded, and to convey this effect, I made special effects for the eye part as well.
In the initial shot, I put black tape on the background wall of the shot to better position the CG square, and I used Mocha Pro to make these tapes clear.
I can clearly see the completeness and fluidity of the story after this shooting and revision, and in the next production I will adjust and modify the details in the articulation and background sound to perfect my personal work.
