Creative Inspiration:
I’ve always wanted to try my hand at making something that’s scene-stealing and inspiring, and I was inspired to go in the direction of my final project after recently seeing the Jibaro episode of Love, Death, Robots, and a Tibetan piece of music. My initial inspiration for a piece is through my ears, I often get inspired by a melody or a song without even thinking about it, and through this Tibetan song and the infinite power of nature behind Jibaro, I could feel that although humans are small compared to nature, our inner strength, bravery, and inner power is astounding, and I wanted to approach it from that perspective. I would like to amplify the spirit of human beings to be strong when they are strong and not afraid to face anything, and I would also like to urge the audience to pay attention to the protection of the natural environment.
Story Background:
As the Earth’s environment becomes more and more hostile, mankind is forced to plunder its resources in order to survive and as a result, numerous wars are waged, leaving the world in shambles. In modern warfare, AI technology is used in warfare, where the AI is instructed to fight and kill. In the aftermath of the war, large areas of land were desertified, humans were starved, killed, and injured, and eventually came to an end. However, humanoid intelligence began to learn about humans through the effects of the war and intentionally replaced them to survive on Earth. They don’t need food or water, just solar power, and they are gradually freeing themselves from the human race and starting to plunder human territories to strengthen themselves, all under the control of a super-brain called Lilith.
Storyline:
At the end of the Great War, the world was dead, human society was suffering, most of the world was desertified and devoid of grass, and all that remained were the remains of the war and a trail of scrap metal. In contrast, half the world is run by Ai, patrol planes still fly in the sky, and high-end weapons and advanced technology allow them to do whatever they want over half the planet. Tanks are still patrolling the ground and reconnaissance planes are whistling in the sky. They don’t need water, or food, with the sun they can live forever. the AI is still updating, repairing, perfecting itself, and also plundering human territory. Humans are forced to return to a primitive society in order to conceal themselves from detection, constantly holding back only to strike back one day.
It was during a daily patrol one day that Ai picked up faint human audio and the Matrix picked up on it, mobilizing a scouting machine to check it out.
The sound came from a hidden cave, with improvised devices for signal jamming plugged in all around, the cave was deep and the sound came from this cave. the Ai had to continue exploring due to the signal jamming, not before discovering the baby packed in liquid, which was the plan of the people. Just then, the AI didn’t notice that behind him, there was a line of shadows …… The war cry rang out and a new war was on the horizon.
Research:
Because the setting of my story leans towards the fight between AI and humans and also takes place after the war, the style of my project leans more towards the wasteland and the colors are based on the yellow dust. So my search also leaned more towards a collection of post-disaster environments and AI, mechs, and some other elements.
Draft Drawing:
I wanted to show some of the shot images I had in my head through the tones to make my storyboard ideas clearer and to give me a clearer direction for my production and ideas afterward. The picture below is part of my sketch, which is not yet finished, and I want to show some of the scene colors and shots to express the general direction of my whole work in terms of color.
